What is Your IQ
Most people have had their IQ measured. Do you know what yours is? If so the poll is anonymous, so please tell the truth.

When I was younger it was measured around 140ish if I remember correctly. Now I'd guess about 106 - 106.5, somewhere around there.

Well ...
Why not create a separate option for negative IQs?

I just did an online IQ test and at the end they wanted $9.99 to send me a certificate with my score.
It took me exactly 0.8 seconds to close my browser in disgust, so that means im pretty clever.

Why have you put the lowest value as 111? The average IQ is 100.

I was interested in the higher IQs and I also wanted to have small ranges while keeping to the 10-answer poll limit.

arent IQ tests not very accurate. Because if you take them at differnet times of the day they are differnet, as well as differnet times of the year? Correct me if im wrong but you shouldnt really put a lot of faith into them.

They are also extremely inaccurate, since most of the online versions are considerably easier then the real thing.
On most of the online ones, I scored 145-160. I took the real test awhile ago, and got 131 reading, 133 math.

Is there a web site to measure IQ?
Not that simple huh?
What IQ would you give to someone who asked a question like that?

There's also a popular one here: http://web.tickle.com/tests/uiq/
I know for a fact that online IQ tests aren't trustworthy, because I've scored at least 140 to 160 on all of them.

I once took a sample Mensa Test, and it seemed I could have, at that time, joined, but today I doubt I'd make it without several attempts.

BTW, if anyone is interested - Mensa
Mensa restricts it's membership to the top 2% of the population based on IQ score. They have their own test but since different tests give different results here are some scores that will qualify you.

I think that the group is a think tank for our government(USA)!
An old friend of mine always wanted me to test and join if I could! I miss him!
I have never tested my IQ!

No it's not. While it's possible that individual members could be, the group has no official relationship with any government.

I was 138 and a Facts Curator at that Emode site.
This means you are highly intelligent and have picked up an impressive and unique collection of facts and figures over the years. You've got a remarkable vocabulary and exceptional math skills.
That's fairly accurate. Maybe not the IQ number but the description of a Facts Curator is pretty on point.

I've never taken one, so I don't know. However, I heard that Mensa accepts certain scores including some IQ tests, the GREs, and they used to accept the SAT's before these got watered down. If the levels are comparable across the different tests, I scored above their cutoff on the SAT's, and well above their cutoff (1250 is the cutoff on both) on the GRE's. Since the cutoff on the IQ tests seemed to be about 130, I figure that puts my IQ somewhere between 130 and well above 130.

Seems reasonable to me. Since this site is predominantly populated by programmers and dare I say it database authors (urgh!) it's fairly likely that it attracts people with IQs above the universal average.
Wot i'm sayin is dat yoo dont get menny thick coders. I am, of course, the exception.

I took the Standford-Binet IQ Test 3 times and scored relatively the same each time.
First Test - 148
Second Test - 154
Third Test - 152
Which, by their scoring system, places me in the "Highly Gifted" area.

What the hell.... I'm not paying for a number! But it only took me 8 out of the 13 minutes it was supposed to take...
The one question that pissed me off was the pounds to ounces one... We don't use imperial in Canada!
Don't pay attention to this signature, it's contradictory.

If there were many of that type of question on the test then it was measuring knowledge and not intelligence.

Not NoteMe
It's very difficult to get an accurate measurement of intelligence. All online IQ tests (mostly american) that i've done have had questions that test knowledge (similar to alkatrans example).
There are machines that are capable of getting good results in an IQ test, but i wouldn't call it intelligent.
"In the quest to create a machine that will outsmart the most intelligent human, Selmer Bringsjord has developed the first-known robot capable of passing part of a standard IQ test."
