    Us Brits and Our Time

Is there not an option that will correct the Time on this site for me? By this I mean that all the times are showing up an hour slow for me because were now in British Summer Time over here and the setting in for this site dont compensate for this even though I have GMT selected .

Change it to GMT+1... I changed from GMT+2 to GMT+3 to see the times correctly...

At the bottom of the post it says:
"All times are GMT. The time now is 07:22 AM."

    Which is after all correct

British Summer Time related web development question:

can you guys can help or point me at some place that would help me decide how to display a table of date/time related data. The data is from events that happen every day at approximately midnight GMT. So I need times to be displayed as 00:00:00-ish prior to March 29th 2004, and as 01:00:00 ish after this date and for the next 6 months.

What is a the typical way to ensure this? Do you have to store the list of dates of when the daylight saving starts and ends and query this every time? or is there some neater way of doing it?

    Thanks
    Kester

Sorry, sorry - please ignore the above post. I arrived at it via a search for BST and I only just noticed its in the Forum feedback section. I will post elsewhere.

    Sorry again,

Doh, I was just writing a reply to this and then I realised what you meant . So in that case wheres the BST option . Or will it still correct itself once US joins us in the summer sun? Cos then it would be wrong and it wouldn't really be GMT.

The nice thing (?) about living in Indiana is that we don't screw with our clocks . The time is the time regardless of the time of year.

Of course, it means that for the next few days I get to miss meetings because everyone else's time changed and mine didn't......

Historically, Indiana could never really decide where it wanted to be. Probably the only thing I liked about the place.

I hate driving through Indiana because it is mostly flat with nothing to see but fields.

Is there still any outstanding issue, or are we okay until this fall when time changes again...

My exgirlfriend's dad joked about how there should be a sign at the border that reads "Congrats, you found the way out!"

    So true.
