Well, you know the advertisement frame in the top right of the page, I saw an error 404 meaning it's a dead link... If I see it again, I'll check what was the adress...

So a dead link to an Ad is a bad thing?

Curious, I haven't seen a dead image or anything. Are you sure you don't have any kind of firewall or something in your hosts file that might prevent a certain ad from showing up?
I've been browsing around the boards a lot today and haven't seen anything.

Ruku, did it only happen once? If so its probably just a bad connection while you connected to the sub page.

Nop, a few times... That's why I could post what it showed... and ya I got a firewall... but it shouldn't disable html browsing! nyways, some other people must've seen the same dead page... anyone?

Ad blockers and the likes can do that. I have it at home, and I see the 404 page all the time.
At work, on Firefox, I see nothing.
(Hmm... shouldn't it be the other way around? Firefox at home and IE at work... )

Hmm, but I have no add-blocker, it's simply a firewall, (BlackIce), who detects probes, sub7 attacks, etc and logs which port where used over what connection, and does an auto-traceroot to log the attackers gets info on them, etc etc...
Nothing about html browsing, nothing about window title search shuting down undesired pages. Sooo, ?

Is it still doing it Ruku?
Is anyone else seeing this? If not, then it must be something with your machine.

Adds totally gone now. Blue bars go all the way across. As Brad once said this means there is no active add in place when this happens. Before that though I've always been seeing the add, never a 404 error.

That link works perfectly for me. It's for a LiveMeeting 30-day trial. Do you see nothing when you go to it?

Is there something in your HOSTS file that blocks access to that site?

If you have Kazaa Lite installed, it edits your host file and blocks certain ad sites (for your own good). That could be the reason.

I've passed this thread information to the ad administrator.
Thanks Guys,
Brad!
