    Why would i get the type mismatch error ? Just a few reasons becuas ei guess there are many ?

    In general, you get type mismatch like if long value is required and you're using integer.

    Code would help a lot.

    Well thats the problem. On my pc from the vb ide it works and if i compile it, it works. But on my mates pc from his vb ide it gives him no error, yet compiled version on his gives him an error. I could post a 2000+ lines of code exeif u want ?

    Type mismatch occurs when you assign a variable with a datatype that doesnt match or cannot be converted into the correct datatype, or pass a variable to a procedure that doesn't match what is specified. I guess that won't change on any machines so i guess the code causing the type mismatch didn't fire on your comp at all but somehow on your mates pc. Could be anything.

    To throw away OOP for low level languages is myopia, to keep OOP is hyperopia. To throw away OOP for a high level language is insight.
