    Restore HardDrive

    hey i just formatted my hard drive and thought i back every thing up. I left out some files that i need, is there a program that i can use to recover these lost files.

    Probably not after a format, unless it was a quick format.

    if you used dos format, even a full format, there is hope (dos format is a POS )

    the problem is you will not find any free programs that recover data

    if it says free don't even bother... it's just going to be a waste of time and nag you and not do anything

    There are some progs that can do it for free. If you haven't done anything after the format action, some linux distributions can do it. Try google it might help

    hey thanks my friends got a copy of Recover My Files, full version, worked perefctly. Cheers for the help.

    There is a free program made by microsoft called "unformat.exe". I have never used it though but it was packaged with earlier versions. I would look it up.
