New Forum to Teach VB
I presented this idea, and was it was sugested I post it here.
I am curious of its response.
Anyway, I am sure there are others like myself that perhaps are not in a position to go to school and take instruction on VB in a more structured enviroment.
With that thought in mind, I would like to sugest we have a Forum area that would have beginer, intermediate, and Advanced VB projects to work on.
The projects would be structured in that each one woud step forward in learning more about VB.
I cant help but feel as much as I have learned already from this Forum that a Forum such as this would only serve to make the learning experience more enriching.
I am in hopes others will join with me in agreeing this could be a great learning opportunity for those of us that are unable to attend a school on a full time basis, and for those that are attending school perhaps this would be helpful to you too.
I enjoy all the books I buy, and read or check out..... but my time reading and particpating in post here I feel I have learned more from this. Thus I cant help but feel a forum of this type would work.
Humbly Submitted

The good old days of www.VB-World.net . If only it was still on-line, now that was somewhere you could easily find and Learn VB stuff. www.Developer.com just isn't as nice. . Seems I'm just a few years late to point you to that site though .

I guess it was that they were focused on VB, but also the articles were very well written. I've never seen where those articles went, wether they were just erased, lost or taken up by another site I have no idea. They had everything split up into sections then lots of examples in each section ranging from simple tips to whole done projects. As I remember the pages weren't full of adverts as well .

The articles are in an archive in one of the many Jupiter sites. I've found them every now and then, but its a bear to do so. It'd be real nice if we had a link to them since they started here to begin with.

Nearly all of the articles are on Developer.com within the Archives. If someone wants to put together a list of the key articles for learning VB, then we could that index in a post here and on Developer.com that is easier to find.
We are also building out articles on CodeGuru (www.CodeGuru.c0m) in the area of Visual Basic as well.
Brad!

Couldn't that website that has a complete history of websites keep the old articles from vbworld? :dunno:
