    One is in one laugange one is in another!
    Foxpro can probably do more because of this!

    Access has only one file as a database (with extension .mdb), where FoxPro has individual file for each object (table, database etc)
    Also, if you're talking about Visual FoxPro, then it is a language wich is a little different from Access (Access uses VBA as a development tool)
