hi
I am developing a course registration program for my internship, I am trying to connect to the access data base using recordset object, but its giving me a runtime error saying that Unrecognized database format. Am i supposed to do any thing with the database to make the connection work?
Help is appreciated

Access 2000
If you are using Access 2000, you are going to get this error unless you download Service pack 4.
Microsoft messed up and didn't fix the connection when they upgraded to Access 2000.

I'm having the same problem with a database I created in Access 2000. Can someone tell me where to download Service Pack 4 ?
Thanks!

I also faced the same problem with Access 2000. But it is solved when i used "compact and repair database".
Open your acces database. in the menus choose Tools - Databse Utilties - Compact and Repair Databases.
Then i was able to connect to my Acces 2000 database.
