Whats the deal with these pop ups? They dont always happen everytime I asumed another window opened it last time but this time I only had VBForums window up.
I did have GoogleBar set to allow popups on this site incase there were any notices. But now I'm gonna have to disable them .

I thought VBF don't allow popups on their site :S Are you sure that they're coming from here? I don't see them myself, but I use FireFox so I wouldn't anyway.
If you get a pop-up, let me know. There aren't suppose to be any. I know that at one point we had trouble with one of the ads causing a pop-up. It was very quickly addressed with the company doing the ad -- my understanding is that they were told that it was not acceptable and their ad was changed.
Again, if you see it happen, let me know.
Brad

Shouldn't have any spyware, recently did a clean install after formatting. Only ever happens on VBF, not all the time as well. I'll turn popups back on for this site and see if I can find out what the ad is for. So far its only happened on Main Page, Control Panel & forum listings, not yet on actual threads.

yeah sometimes I'll only see it once a day if at all. Just seemed odd that an ad would only know and again show up .
Supose makes sense if its only a particular ad thats causing it.

You see the ad at the top of the page on the screen shot (MS one) is that always there for everyone else because I'm sure its hardly ever there for me, like now its gone. Is it just my PC randomly decides to block it or is it not always available .
BTW: The Hobo what was your reply?

When it is not there, what do you see? A white box the same size as the ad or does the blue area for search go all the way across your screen?
Brad!

If someone gets the Question Market pop-up again, can do me a favor and send me the source for the page that you are viewing when it pops up? You cand send the source to [email protected] or you can post it as an attachment to this thread.
Thanks,
Brad!

The blue and white lines just go all the way across the page.

That would mean that no ad is being displayed at that time -- which would be unuusal.

The Google Toolbar informed me (yesterday, or early this morning) that it had blocked a popup, and I was only viewing this site. So I enabled popups for this site, and it refreshed, but I didn't get it again.
Yeah its definitly the Ad at the bottom cos I got it again when that ad was on but forgot to get the source cos I pressed Submit Reply not thinking I would loose it .
There absolutly loads of diferent ads that get shown at the bottom, no wonder it takes so long for it to happen again.

Did you checkout your browser history to see if you could find the page in there?

In looking at this, I'm guessing it is the source code from the pop-up. Correct me if I'm wrong. What I really need is the source code from the VBForums page. We want to track down the ad that is kicking off the pop-up. Alternatively, if you can tell me which ads are showing (top/side/bottom), that might help track it down.

From the bottom BTW, I included the bits around it slightly as well.

You're correct, it is the source from the pop-up. BTW, I tried to mail it to you but the email bounced back.
Thanks guys. That is what I needed. The ad is provided by a third-party and our interal agents are tracking them down.....
They really are
