    Bytes instead of packets?

    hello.

    i'm running Windows 2000 with a cable connection. When i few the network status (LAN Status), the write the amount of data in packets. Anyway we could change that to bytes?

    See screen shot if u dont know what i mean.

    The default MTU (maximum transmission unit) of each packet for a cable connection is usually 1500 bytes. To find out how many bytes were recieved or sent you need to multiply the number of packets transferred by 1500.

    mm, that's funny, Windows XP displays it as bytes, never noticed that. For some reason, it displays LAN stats in bytes, but things like IEE1394 in packets, interesting...
    I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)
