    Could you read more than one byte whit the

    open " " for binary as #1
    get #1, byte
    ...
    procedure?

    I hope ther are some peole who can help me?

    Do it like this

    Dim spc$, tmp$

Open File For Binary As #1
spc = Space(Lof(1))
Get #1, spc, tmp
Close #1
