School sucks... and not because it's school
I hate school now, utterly dispise it. I hate it for it's "advanced" classes that are ruined by a teacher who wastes all my time talking about his hobbies. We've been doing function for 2-3 weeks now, and since I program we all know how little I know about function ("Look, here's a function being passed to another function, WOW!"). We've been doing grade 10 physics for the past 2 weeks too, I already learned that speed * time = distance thank you, oh, change of speed * time = acceleration? WHOAH.
The hardest thing I've done in math so far was the absolute function, getting the reciprical of it. Of course, I solved it by myself within 5 minutes then had to listen to him explain it over the next 2 classes (with large chunks of chit chat in between each sentence, no wonder no one else gets it). I've spent more time talking to my friend in math than working, and that's not because I'm not doing my work, I'm sorry, but 5 problems involving finding the reciprocal of f(x) = ax + b aren't gonna keep me occupied for a whole class. (It's sad that I've spent more time playing the "ADD" game (say random word to other guy, he says one to you, repeat, laugh at whatever ensues) than listening).
Oh, and I'm getting tired of hearing his bu***** advice. "Put everything on your credit cards and just pay the minimum for the rest of your life! You don't have to pay the debt that way." Thank you for that sparkling load of...
I think my personal favorite thing is when he said (in physics) that you could make yourself heavier at will.. and claimed he could do it (we brought in a scale to shut him up).
ah... ranting feels good. My first semester was (french) talk, (math) talk, (biology) memorize 5000 definitions, (geography) oh, you calculate population density by dividing pop by area? Pollution spreads with wind???.., and second semester isn't looking good, although english seems OK... for english.

The WORST thing about school where i live is the temperature for one, it is sooooo hot and hardly any room has a/c, is always 32-36 degrees C and some of the teachers, wouldn't know **** if you put it in front of them. Most of my teachers aren't really teachers, but relays. They get a book, read the book, write up the book and do nothing else, yeah heaps good, could've done that myself at home in the a/c room! Some teachers are good, and actually TEACH ie IA, Home Ec etc. But most are pathetic. My last years maths teacher is a great example, thought he was real good by solving problems and multiplying big numbers in his head but he always looked at a sheet of paper with all the working out on it exactly as the book has it.
Makes you wonder, how much teachers know these days, you almost have to know how to relay info and your a teacher.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

Is there no feedback? Somewhere where you can grade your lessons?
Also, by the sound of it, do you actually have the same teacher in all of these subjects?
All the buzzt

Actually it is possible. To make yourself lighter. Stand on your head for 60 seconds then get directly on a scale. you can temporarily appear to be 1/8 of a lb lighter. Fluid in motion is lighter. To Appear heavier is more difficult as you have to be able to all but stop your heart rate using medatation. It has been proven.

I have the same teacher for physics and calculus (pre-calculus, actually).
Yes, I know there are tricks and other things to make yourself slightly lighter, but the way he said it... as if it was all in the mind (meditation aside here)
Ì think he put it as "I feel 5 pounds too heavy right now" for an example.

Yea, I'll put a 5 buck wager that the only way he could do that is by taking a massive dump on the floor before getting on the scale.

At least we'd learn more about math if it came out of his a** instead of his mouth.

You can SAVE documents now?! You're sure it doesn't crash the program or make clippy talk to you?
