I was just visiting a website that offers an academic version of VB6.0 pro. Is it the same as the regular version? And do you have to be a student to order one?

Academic is exactly the same as the regular version, only cheaper. It is for students, whether they are in HS, College, Computer School, etc. etc. You could buy it even if you aren't a student, but that's considered illegal. But I waited and found out a bit about Academic version before I bought VB6 as well. I was a bit weary because I thought maybe it was a cheap version where you couldn't make exes (like the Learners Edition), but the person who sold it to me told me a bit about it since I wanted to know more before buying it. I did buy it and it's good. Exactly what I wanted, works great, no bugs, nothing broken, everything included.

Hmmm...I bought mine with no need to show anything. I bought mine from someone on Vb-World. You probably won't have to show anything, unless your buying it from a company or something.

Just kidding. The academic isn't really a version. It's just a better price. Example: I bought the Visual Studio Enterprise Edition 6.0 Academic, and all that means is I payed less than a 4th of what other have to pay. Academic however means also that you are not supposed to sell any program you write with it.
