How to create an FTP client? Please Help!

Hello, I am wondering how to create an FTP client which allows the user to input an IPaddress then click on a button to connect and be able to take files from another computer and it be able to take files from you. If anyone could just post the code for this with some documentation so i understand i would much appreciate it.

There is quite a few of these tools out there
Your company may want to invest in one like Cute Ftp...

or do u have to create yourself?

I'm just creating it for my own use as a project which i can learn from. I have downloaded many in the past and i just wanted to create this for myself. Any code with documentation would help.

What I really need to know is how to:
a) connect to an IP(ie: using Serv-U)
b) after connecting, how to show files on the other persons computer and mine
c) how to download or upload a file to my computer or to the other persons computer

I would greatly appreciate any help on this.

PS. The other thing i don't know is to whether or not to use the Winsock Control or the INet control, i can do all that with the INet control but i can't connect to an IP address just an FTP URL.
