    Bit Torrent

Has anyone had any bad experiences with Bit Torrent?

I like the idea, and there are several files that I get on occassion that have BT hosting. I wouldn't mind helping out, but I can't find a Linux client. Is there one? Is it stable enough that I can leave it running? Does it run solely command line, or does it have a web-based interface or a Webmin plugin (my Linux server is headless)?

The BitTorrent client I use is written in Python:

    http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/

This is also the official client. The source package comes complete with various python scripts to run bit torrent including the headless one.

I myself use the headless client and it works fine and can be left running in the background using nohup. This client also has some extra's like limiting downstream bandwidth as well as upstream which you don't get with the windows client.

All you need to get it working is Python. The install is nice and easy - I didn't have any problems.

    So good luck...
