Writing a PDF file ? *RESOLVED*

Is there a way to convert an image to a PDF file without using the Adobe acrobat writer ?

Not unless Adobe provides it, I would think any other way would be a license violation.

Check Adobe's site for any Dev Kits, you may find something.

I've already tried, but can't find anything - you have to be member of some ****(which costs money(not goats(or zebras)))... I have however, found several HTML to PDF converters, so my guess is there is some description of the standard which is free ... or at least not as expensive as the writer.

    Exclamation

I think that you cannot convert images into PDF using Adobe Acrobat Reader control without Adobe's permision.

There is an example in http://www.planetsourcecode.com which is uses the PDF control but it converts only text to PDF.

    Take a look at:

    http://www.a1vbcode.com/app.asp?ID=2548

This class shows how to create PDF documents with only Visual Basic 6.0 (no dll or ocx).

    Well

I found what I was looking for here:

    www.software995.com

It's an app that creates a virtual printer, making you 'print' your document to a PDF

    Thanks for your replies!

I've used it with word and it works perfecly, just converts the pages to images, and the images to PDF and it's as easy as that.
