VB & Crystal Package
I am trying to create a package including Crystal Reports in VB6. I get missing files
U2dapp.dll
u2dpost.dll
u2fcr.dll
u2fsepv.dll
u2xml.dll
However these files don't exist on my system. Presume they are part of the Crystal Dependency file.
if i ignore the files, I get 'Set up cannot continue because some files are out of date' on the users machine.
Click OK to Update.
The machine reboots, but I get exactly the same message the next time i run setup.exe.
Any thoughts??

the files should be on your system (make sure you have "show hidden files" checked in view options)....
if not, double check the disk...you will have to hunt for them, but they are there...
if you are exporting make sure you have both sets of files, as there are two files for every type of export format....
hope this helps....

I've managed to fiind them all except U2XML.dll on the reports disks. Any idea's where I might find this one. ( I've checked the enterprise disks as well)

I found U2XML.dll, it was actually U2FXML.dll!!! However I still get the System files are out of date message every time I run the install.

Sorted
I've sorted this now. I've manually copied the dll's to the users machine. Which works ok.

You can get updates/service packs for Crystal here....
http://support.businessobjects.com/f...asp_selectlist
However, I am wondering if it isnt your VB runtime files that are out of date...you may want to check those for future deploys...
In addition, if you are by chance using Inno to deploy, I made a zip file awhile back that has some helpers in it, if you are interested....(download the second one, it was updated later on)...

edit: oops forgot to post the link....
