DVD Region X stuff
I just took delivery of an American DVD (Region 1). I thought I had a multi region dvd player but alas I was duped by my own stupidity.
A friend of mine recomended buying one of these region X dvd thinymebobbies.
Has anyone with a dvd player used these ?
Can you recomend one ?
How do they work ?
Cheers Big Ears

What DVD player do you have...is it a PC DVD player or a stationary. For most stand alone DVD players there is a code that you van use to make it Zone 0, and for PCs a firmware upgrade will often do the trick, but PS: It might damage it for ever....

No...some time you have to use your remote controll, some time you have to use a black box, and some times you have to use a programmable remote controll or a Palm with IR......so again what name and number is the DVD player.....
I am working in a Electro shop for TC, Stereo and DVD and stuff...

I am not sure what the R version does...but try this....
setup->menu->step->prev->next gives access to a secret menu. region bypass can be accessed.do this with no dvd/cd in the tray

This page tells you what DVD player has hacks for the regions.

Looks like simple eastereggs within some DVD players to change regions.
Good luck

Are there any other solutions ?
