    the trouble with tmp files

    Has anyone else had this problem?
    Getting a lot of tmp files in the directory of your app and in your C drive? It started when I began usind the CRDC...

    yep, same thing happened here.. i also think it was the CR controls (version 7) that caused it

    thankfully we've now got rid of crystal!!

    We generate the reports in VB, and use Excel (or Word) to display them.

    obviously whether you can do that depends on security issues (as the user can edit/save/print/etc.), and the users having the software (Excel/Word) installed.
