If you have XP could you....

please find a way to extract the following icons (with tranpsarancey and in 16x16 size.) You will get your name in the graphics section of my app, about box I really need these thanks.

    Undo
    Cut
    Copy
    Paste
    Clear Clipboard
    Bold
    Italic
    Underline
    Align Left, Center & Right
    Select All (if any)
    Some sort of clock

Ill post some more if i can think of them, otherwise can anybody name a program that has these icons so i can extract them myself? I dont have XP, only win98se.

I would be truly grateful, thanks

    Question

I have got XP, but no clue as to how to get these icons extracted?

Another suggestion would be to search for these icons. I am sure you will get the gif files on some site.

I can screencapture them and paste them all into a .jpg if you want. You'll have to cut each one out though. Let me know if you want me to do that.

Also, from which application do you want them, Wordpad, Word?

    well

I have a library with about 6000 icons - maybe you could find something you could use... Tell me if you want me to email it to you, I'll do it when I get home from work...

    Cheers!

    ohh

Sorry, I almost forgot you... Well, they're rather big, so it'd be best if you had MSN or ICQ, it'd make the transfering easier...

    Cheers!

Who really cares if its in the wrong forum, just ignore it.
Some of you people think its a royal sin going to hell if you post in the wrong forum.

This has a lot to do with programming, its part of his programming interface.

    BTW:

Yes you can extract these icons, there are free tools online. Try googling icon extractor, or icon creater, etc. I have some real sharp icons that are windows xp based. You can also specify the size quality etc.

Or do a file search on your PC for *.ico.

Then use an icon editor to modify the bit / size.

    Thanks,
    Jon

It is in the correct place.
His application in VB needs some buttons / graphics. The forum is a VB forum, I'd do the same thing. If he / she would have to post it somewhere else, you'd have some smart alec who would not answer the question. I've seen the other forums and people in those forums do not stay on topic nor do they help, they think because its not the vb forum they can just do / say whatever they like.

I think this was the correct place and if I needed icons for my vb application i would post it here. At least I would get good responses.

yes i agree that you'll get more people to look at it here, but at the same time youre perpetuating the problem of not being able to get help in the other forums

Look you getting all 'upset' about it just bumps the thread to the top, so WHAT it's in the wrong forum - no one REALLY cares - just leave it be!

All these pictures are installed with VB6 but they are bmp format. You need a bmp to ico converter. I have one somewhere I will have to find it out.
