I need something very big to download,
I have 1.5mbit DSL, and I have downloaded anything I ever wanted....
VS7 beta
VS SP4
Platform SDK
Dx SDK
winamp
lots of songs from napster
a 50MB ADA compiler
WSFTP_LE
etc
I don't have anything left...
come on... someones gotta have something useful that is larger than 30 MB(I could take 30MB on in about 20 minutes)

I have a Verizon DSL line at home. I have had nothing but problems with it. They sent me a memo that there was new software for me to download (drivers & ****), I installed them, and know it is running even slower!!! I hate Verizon!!! I try to call them, but they are ALWAYS busy!! My old 56K modem moves faster than this DSL line at times. I go to Microsoft's web site to try to do the speed test, but all I get is 6K / second download!!!
I am going to cancel my service and get a cable modem.

hey Dennis, why are you so eager to fill up your hard drive by downloading such big files?
-

It's not that I wanna fill my hard drive up,
it's just i Like seeing the text that says "150KBps" then it says "200KBps" etc...

They can't make you pay for it, it's open source. They charge for some of the utilities they develop for it, for documentation, and for postage and packaging. They don't own the copyright to the OS itself, so they can't charge for just the OS.

barrk-
Once again, thank you. I tried re-doing my registry (like that tweeking page told me to). That didn't help. This morning I am online (6:07 am EST) and my DSL is rocking. I went back to that test page and now it is saying everyting is healthy. I believe that traffic in northern NJ is a problem. Once again, thanks.
