It's never been reported by anyone else so I don't know what to tell you except that it's not coming from us. There are free spyware eliminators available. You might want to try one.

why dont i make this much easier
look at the provide picture
on the top right hand there is a WHITE area correct?
which is the flash advertising, i actually went ahead and measured it
its 336x280
now look ath the download pop up in the middle, wahts the size?
now if that is not convincing enough
find out if that file name, it should be controls_new336x280.swf
and if thats not convincing enough, found out who is actually the advertising firm, it shoudl be doubleclick.net
if u want i can put my detective gear on and find out more
but i believe the evidence provided is enough
and please marty stop blaming the spyware and instead do something about the problem
AT LEAST say "it could came from us but not sure,"
anyways
hope it gets fixed,

Are you clicking the ad that would normally be in the "white space"? If not I guess I have no answer except that we do not do pop-up advertising or downloading of files.

nope i am not clicking the white space
it happens when i click any of the .NET forums
c#, vb.net..
as u can see in the image provided when i clicked c# forum it brought that up and took me to the c# forum.
this has happened to me at least 5 times,
and i am not accusing anyone of doing popup advertising, or anything like that
i just simply think its a forum glich,

I would have not expected the message you are receiving without having clicked on the actual ad area on the top right of the page.
The file it is wanting to download/save appears to be a flash file -- which is a standard ad format anymore. What is the security settings on your browser set to? My guess is that your virus software or your browser settings are set to warn against running flash files. Actually, now that I look at the dialog being presented ot you - you have clicked that your computer should always ask you before opening Flash files. Unclick the box in the dialog and you shouldn't be prompted for running Flash files anymore.

Kovan, It might sound stupid, but do you have the Flash player installed properly? It seems like IE cant find the Flash Player on your machine and dont know what do with the swf file, so it asks you do download it like other downloadable file. I have seen the if you dont have Acrobat installed IE asks you download the pdf file just like your print screen.
Is .swf file registered with Flash player, in your machine? Un installing the Flash Player and then reinstalling might fix the problem.
If you can see flash (.swf) file on other sites then ignore my post.

Well in that case i would assume that the Flash Banner is trying to load control_new.. .swf file for playing but for some reason not handling it correctly.
Cant think of anything else, but it seems to point to some particula flash banner not being loaded correctly.
