You can't, it's a part of Windows XP and you need to add it by the Add System Components thing in Add/Remove Programs dialog.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

Is it really the only way? Now I got the CD in my hands but I remember that the last time i formated my computer wasn't with this CD, was some SP1 version(I only realised this now) and it doesn't allow me to install with the regular XP cd the damn IIS.
Isn't there really really other way? Like installing it from windows update?

Nope, no other way, you must use the CD.

Those won't work, you can try them though if you want to. The resource kit just contains toold to use with it, it doesn't install it for you.

you need to create a slip-streamed XP SP1 cd.
All you need is a blank cd, orignal XP cd, Network SP1 Install and some time
follow this guide
http://www.windows-help.net/WindowsX...p1-bootcd.html
Then with the cd you create you should be able to install IIS
This is the only way I can think of doing this
[btw: this saves some time when you install xp]

I upgraded to SP1, then installed IIS form my original XP CD. Hell I did it with Win2k as well but from just Win2k to SP4.
Worked fine for me

Did you install with the option that allowed uninstall?
When i first installed SP1 i didnt and from then on it asked me for the "Windows XP SP1 Disc" thats when i made a "Slipstreamed Windows XP SP1" Disc (now i use it all the time cuz its faster)
but for PT Exorcist SP1 was installed when Windows XP was installed so he is trying to use a XP cd that is older than the OS install, so it doesnt let him.

You can always uninstall it. There isn't a special "check this for uninstall ability"

If you run the service pack with "/N" it "Does not back up files for removing the service pack"
An im certain that there is a option durning the normal install but im too lazy to format, find my orginal XP disc (prolly being used for a coaster some where), Backup* (60gigs of stuff), and install XP then install the service pack
* Yeah in know i should have everything backed up but its 60gigs (i just got a dvd burner and so far i have backed up most of my anime[40gigs] so im slowly working on it )
