setup
I have an requirement where by the application has to be executed from the cd itself without running the set up .
The application is like , you double click the application icon it should start running or via the auto run file option.
The only problem i see is that the machine does not have an vb environment how will run an vb application without a setup which copies and registers all the essential vb dll files.
Is there any other option to vb or can it be done by some other method.
I want some thing like this
http://www.smspop.com/app/down/ver%202.1/smspop.exe
Please advice

You can use many installers to include your VB Run time files and libraries. Theres
P&D - Package and Deployment Wizard which comes with VB
Inno
and many more

The bottom of this post may help also if you choose Inno.

I'd've PM'ed you Randem, but you seem to have turned that option off.

Use [vbcode] [/vbcode] tags, not (vbcode) (/vbcode)

If you read the above post from that, i said i had to use (vbcode)(/vbcode) otherwise the post would be messed up

I even boldened the changed bits
Talk about grammar!
You should not correct someone by making the same kind of mistake (or more). boldened is not even a word (not in english anyway).

It doesn't mess up the post if you do it right

Madboy,
How on earth do you quote someone by changing what they wrote in the first place. That is not a quote now is it?
FYI: That word would not even make sense! (To make confident????)

Is "anyway" a word? I think the proper way to write it is "anyways."

Next time I'll just let you be ironically wrong (or I guess I could email)
Really, though, we've hijacked uhmnc's thread and should carry on this conversation in Chit-Chat if we all really care that much.
...
Has your question been answered in enough detail uhmnc?

Back to the actual topic
I guess the program should run when you place all the required files to the cd root. I've seen one cd in which this was done and it worked fine on Windows 95. Well, yeah, that was long time ago. And the app didn't use any OCXs.
