Laptop Review...!!!
We are getting 3 of these in the office and before we get it I need to find reviews on it.
IBM Thinkpad R50
Centrino 1.6 GHz
1 GB DDR RAM
60 GB HDD
32MB ATI Radeon 9000/3D
15" TFT SXGA
1400 X 1050 Max Resolution
CDRW/DVD ROM Combo
Windows XP Pro
56K Fax Modem
10/100/1000 Mbps LAN
Wireless 802.11 a/g & Bluetooth
1 year international warranty

Doesn't say much more then that it has the «Hard Drive Active Protection System» (HDAPS). Pretty cool tho'

Not sure...how much do you have to give for it whit those upgrades....did only check the price for the basic R50

I am not paying anything. Company is paying for me. Just wanted to get review before we order. Or anyother upgrade suggestion or downgrade suggestion.

If they are paying that for you. I can't see what you should say no too.... ...1Gb or Ram...thats gone hurt..... .....BTW what is it going to be used for?

Development ofcourse.
I am not going to say no but might suggest them to get me 64MB graphics card not 32 MB.

Hehe...yeah then you can even play games on it.... ...but if you are not going to use it for games the weekest point of the LAptop is the HDD....the rest looks really fine. But 60 GB HDD is not that bad for a laptop either...

I can always ask for a secondary external HDD to store data as soon as the main one gets filled.
So you reckon it's a sweet deal to take right...?

The only problem with Laptops in the aussie climate is that there little fans don't keep them cool enough, so you will notice some slow down, unless of course your in an air conditioned room or something.

I will using them in the office mostly or at home so outside wont be any big issue and if it dies then it's company laptop. Meh I wont bother doing anything.
