    Windows XP burning CDs

I use the Windows XP built-in software to burn CDs. However, 90% of the time these CDs are not readible in other PCs, or only a small portion of the contents are visible when exploring the CDs in Windows Explorer. Is the problem the poor quality of CD-R or the Windows XP software?

Yeah, I'd have to agree with dis1411, Windows XPs burning is quite limited, and it doesn't allow you to select the burning method ie Track-at-once Disc-at-once and it always burns multisession CDs. That's what would also cause you CDs to be unreadable. If it doesn't close the disc, it will be unreadable in other computers.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

I think XP uses ROXIO engine but you will better off with some full flanged app like NERO or EASY CD CREATOR.
