    Nothing is displayed

    Hey evryone
    I'm trying to fix this problem that someone at work did.
    I don't know what they did, but now if u try to start any programs, all u see is a blank form on the screen. the icons are still on the desktop, but I cannot c to get to get to the device manager or desktop properties to make any changes.
    Any help ?

    Just reinstall windows, but first run a virus-check and a spy-ware check (if possible)

    Win98 is the os.
    I have re-installed but still got the same problem.
    you can see the desktop icons, but whenever you click to start the program, the form that should display the data is completely dark. you can't even resize the toolbar.

    restart in dos mode


    in the command prompt type "scanreg /restore" and there should be some old versions of your registry and try to restore one.

    else

    format c: /u /autotest

    Thanks for your help guys, but I finally reformat the hd and reinstall win. that solved the problem
