I'm using Crystal Reports 8 to develop the printed reports for a VB 6 app I am doing. The problem I am having is that after every print job, CR prints a 4-line pirint summary on a new page. Considering that my app prints one page at a time, this is a failry maor problem. If anyone knows ANY way to get rid of the printed summary, I would love to hear it.

You would need to check on the sections properties of the report.

Maybe the property new page is checked somewhere.

    Hope this helps.

    doubt it....

I checked everywhere and could think of and did not see any kind of option that _LOOKED_ like it could have anything to do with the print summary.

It would make no sense whatsoever to not be able to disable this feature. It really accomplishes nothing, save wasting incredible amounts of paper.

check it again. i had the same problem before. be sure to right click each section and check on its properties. just choose from the options in the popup menu when you right click it. sorry if i don't have a crystal reports with me now.

    Hi, Afroide.

    Try this:

1.Open report in a Design view, Click on the Group Footer or Report Footer (which one you don't want to see) and delete it. Summary information are displayed in a Report Footer
2.Or go to Insert menu, then Section and select from the list section you don't want to see, then chek Hide or Suppress on the right side.
Just be careful with deleting. Second way is safer.

    I hope it helps you.

I am now feeling incredibly stupid. It would appear that this print summary has nothing to do with CR. As near as I can tell, it appears to be generated by the jet direct card that is in the printer I'm using at the moment.

Thanks much for your help, and sorry if I wasted any of your time.

If you are wondering how I could not know this..... I have not, as of yet, printed anything other than crystal reports from my workstation. Internet stuff gets printed from a separate, dedicated internet PC (which uses a different printer).
