    Software Remote Control

Right...I want to be able to control Winamp on my main PC from another PC, but don't want to use VNC as my main PC will be playing games at the time and VNC would slow it down too much.

I basically want to have my laptop sitting beside me when I'm playing games and change the music on my main PC with my laptop, avoiding the need to Alt-Tab out of the game. Something that runs on Linux would be preferable, but windows will do.

I don't want to use an IR remote control though. And all the others were VNC style, which is not viable for playing games on the main PC.

How about running a serial cable between them and using the MSComm control? No doubt there's some serial interface in linux.
I don't live here any more.
