If they use a 32 bit integer to store a users post count - the first person to reach 4,294,967,296 posts will have there count reset to 0 and they'll be a newbie again
Thanks --- I'm not one for graphics and stuff as you can see from my last Avatar. It was actually a print screen from the quicktime trailer and then re-sized.

what a strange order
only a couple weeks and i should be an "addicted member"... if the posts in here counted, i would probably be almost a "hyperactive member"
on HTMLForums, i have almost 3000 posts.. they have custon at 1101 i think
Say if i made 100 chit chat posts, then 64 proper posts, would i be a lively member, or would i need 164 posts? Are chit chat totally unruled and not counted?

I am not a complete idiot. Some parts are still missing. Check out the rtf-help tutorial General VB Faq Thread Change is the only constant thing. I have not changed my signature in a long while and now it has started to stink! Get more power for your floppy disks. ; View honeybee's Elite Club: Use meaningfull thread titles. And add "[Resolved]" in the thread title when you have got a satisfactory response.
And if that response was mine, please think about giving me a rep. I like to collect them!
I dissagree
You comprehend light, because you can compare it to dark.
You comprehend sadness, because you can compare it to fun.
You know that your life it finite, therefore you can comprehend what forever is.
But can you truly understand it? Or do we just use it wrongly in everyday life?
According to modern science, nothing has been going on for an infinate time. Time started at the big bang and so no time existed before it. If we are headed for a big crunch, then time will end there. Time also ends in a black hole (or, behind ones event horizon at least).
We are not to know what is going to happen to the universe.
I do however believe that a lot of what we experience is derived in our head. Our perception of time for example is all in our head.
We experience this every night when we sleep. Our brains slow down and as a result our perception of time changes and although we may have been sleeping for 10 hours it will seem more like four.
Out perception of forever is a word we give for not knowing the end. We don't know where numbers end so we say they go on forever and we don't know when the universe will end and if indeed it does whether or not it will begin again.
Life is very similar becuase we don't know when we are going to die. When we do however we know that it will be the end of life as we know it on earth. We may go to heavan be reincarnated or just disappear.
Forever as we know and will only ever know it is the time in which we live.
If you are defining time as the time we live, then yes of course we live for ever. thats like saying X=2 therefore 2=X.
I also agree that a lot of what we think is derived from our minds. For example, as Decart thought, if our eyes can sometimes decieve us, we must presume they always do. Leading on from this, how can we be sure the world even exists? Or even what are we? Impulses being sent down a spinal cord?
OK I know I'm sidetracking a bit here.
On point I just thought of:
If time is basically our life span, and our actions have consequences beyond our life span, then do we live beyond forever?
Maybe live is the wrong word.
...then do do our actions last beyond forever?
