Can I put text in the System Tray rather than an icon?
Can I put text in the System Tray rather than an icon?
I have used the System Tray examples before to put a notification icon in the tray, but I want to put text (like the clock) in the system tray.
If it isn't possible to do that, can I make icons of 0-9 and somehow combine the icons to make 1 icon to put in the tray?
thanks,
shur

That requires the user to move their mouse to the icon to see the text. I want to be able to put/update the text so that they don't need to go out of their way to see it, etc.
