DVD Burners??
Anyone got any Suggestions?
Should I wait 'till april 04 for the dual layer dvd+R's and burners?
Tips:

- Name your thread appropriately... "I Need Help" doesn't cut it!
- Always post your code!!!! We can't read your mind!!! (well, at least most of us!)
- Allways Include the Name and Line of the Exception (if one is occuring!)
- If it is relevant state the version of Visual Studio/.Net Framwork you are using (2002/2003/2005)

Lite-on is a pertty good brand, but i'd wait till the dual-layer DVD burners come out, then they will be faster as well and cheaper.

i guarantee when the dual layer drives come out they will be at least 300 smackers (read: them literally smacking u in the face with every over charged dollar)
or are u referring to current drives being cheaper in the future

No i doubt they will up the price. They didn't when burners offered buffer underrun protection or with every speed increase, they became cheaper kinda.

I agree with dis1411, the newest model is always the most expensive, but it can make the previous models cheaper.

I have bought my self a DVD burner. A cheap one just to be able to burn, before I will buy a double layered when the prices are good.
I have a Pioneer DVR-106. It is not the fastest on earth. But it is very reliable, and no problem to tweak to be be multi zone readable. So you can burn your DVDs to be zone 0. And you can burn DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW, that is usefull.....

Instead of spending a lot of money on a dvd-rw, I just use my dvd-r to rip the movies and then I burn them as vcd's.

So watch the original DVD instead of going through the trouble of copying it. Really how many times are you going to watch the same movie?
