Free download APP to clean registry settings...?
If anyone has ever used Norton Win Doctor b4 then they will know what I am on about.
Basically I need a free downloadable app to clean my XP registry.
I have installed/uninstalled shed loads of software and there is crap everywhere. I need something to clean the "old" and "obsolete" reg entries from my PC.
Anyone?

It's not recommended that you use these, they could remove keys that are vital to Windows or your programs and then your computer won't boot. Use them wisely.

You say that as if yours is in perfect condition.
It gives you a good view of software registry entries. You can remove those "residual" entries that remain after some crappy software gets uninstalled off your machine. Plus those Gator, GAIN and Buddy entries... whatever. Good tool.

...and drinking too much alcohol could raise my oestrogen levels and cause me to grow breasts
It's OK, as they create backup files, so if your PC naks then you can restore the entries you removed

Download the file from the link Mendak posted. Install and run. It won't toast your reg untill you tell it to, but do a Deep Scan and see how many invalid entries it brings back I just had over 500...if you then still don't want to remove stuff then just close the app.
You'll find loads of entries from applications u uninstalled months ago.

I think Microsoft released a program back for Windows 95 that did this, but they discontinued it, you should still be able to find it if you wanted to.
