Error during Windows startup. Pls Help

Error during Windows startup. I have Windows 98 platform and whenever I startup windows I get an error.

And the message says:-
Unable to find this Dll:
Windows\System\DDEML.DLL Try reinstalling the application.
This error comes not only when I load windows but also when I close any application or install or uninstall any application. Please tell me how can I get rid of this error.

It keep coming up all the times. Please help me out in this regard.Thank you

did u recently install any software??

if yes then try to uninstall/re-install it

Run the System File Checker

Start > Run... > sfc.exe <ENTER>

It will go through your files and verify what's missing. Have your Windows 98 CD around, you'll probably need it.

Here you go, there is an attached zip file.


Download it, open it, extract the files to wherever, and then run the batch file that I made(ddeml.bat) that automatically copies the dll (ddeml.dll) to your system folder and registers it.

That should fix your problem as far as I know.
