Change the forecolor of one record [Resolved]

How would I change the forecolor of records that meet a
particular criteria? My report uses an ADO recordset that I pass
from my VB program. I want the report to have red forecolor if a
certain field's value is = 1 else leave it black if its = 0.
Would this be done in Crystal or VB?

Personally, I would do it in Crystal. Normally I just use VB to operate on the report - things like open, view, print, set parameters, set login information etc. I try to keep all formatting within Crystal.

To change the Font color in Crystal. Set the formula for the color attribute of the font (Format Editor -> Font Tab). The return value of the formula is a color value. Use a Color constant, the Color function (Crystal syntax) or the RGB function (VB syntax)

If {Table.Field} = 1 Then crRed Else crBlack

If {Table.Field} = 1 Then Color(255, 0, 255) Else Color(255, 255, 0)

This only applies to a single field. I know of no global method to change everything at once.

I just want to change records in the details section. For ex.
record 5 & 8 field Message will be red and the rest will be normal.

Right, got it. The formula I posted needs to be added to every field in your detail section.
