Hello all , i have a Video cassatee with one hour of video in it . i have no idea how to store the same to cd in any video format avi or mpeg .

Further for your information i have a Pentium 800 Mhz pc with windows xp Professional , a video recorder , cd drive , cd writer .

    1. What more equipments do i need for this process ?
    2. Do i require some software for encoding and decoding the same .

you need a hardware that allows you to input video

    Something similar to this:

You need some capture software and encoding software to encode to AVI or MPEG

Most hardware comes with the software to do this.

Note: for 100 min of video, depending on the quality, could take a few discs.
    Tips:
    • Google is your friend! Search before posting!
    • Name your thread appropriately... "I Need Help" doesn't cut it!
    • Always post your code!!!! We can't read your mind!!! (well, at least most of us!)
    • Allways Include the Name and Line of the Exception (if one is occuring!)
    • If it is relevant state the version of Visual Studio/.Net Framwork you are using (2002/2003/2005)
