    How often do you do platform sdk programming?

    I'm sure most of you know there is several controls included in windows that isn't included in visual basic. For example the IP Address Control. Do you ever write wrappers around these controls? How about expanding built in controls like the list box to add features that were left out or create new ones?

    I was just curiuos if any of you have ever loaded the common controls via API..

    I've created quite a few custom controls based on existing .net controls. Especially the data grid(big terd). Thats one of thee cool parts of being able to inherit from controls included in the framework. Are you looking for some tutorials or something?

    I tried writing a listview that took advantage of the Filter bar of listview, but could never get it to work in VB.

    No I was talking about creating activex wrappers around the API of some common controls. Like the IP Address Control that was included in IE: 4.0.

    I was just curious if I was the only loser who did that lol
