How do you have a combo box read from a text file?

You don't, you read from the Text file and fill the Combobox, i.e.

Dim iFile As Integer
Dim sLine As String

iFile = FreeFile
Open "C:\SomeFile.txt" For Input As iFile
While Not EOF(iFile)
    Line Input #iFile, sLine
    Combo1.AddItem sLine
Wend
Close iFile
