What are VB capabilities?
I recently purchased VB.Net 2003 and a tutorial for learning it. I'm about 10 chapters in, and I've done what are probably the "introductory" beginners programs like "hello, World!" and "Lucky Seven".
I know this is probably premature, but what "types" of programming can .Net do? What I mean is, can I do a program that will store data (names, events, etc)? I know that I'm getting WAY ahead of myself but I wanted to know in what direction .Net will take me.
Sorry I'm being so vague, but I know so little about any kind of programming that I don't know if I'm even asking the right kind of questions.
Thanks for your patience.

VB.NET is a full fledged programming languages can you will probably be more limited by experience and creativity than by the language. Rather than list the things it CAN do I'd say its NOT well suited for the following: Graphical Games, Device Drivers, Operating Systems, and another you want to run on a non-Windows platform. Everything else should be doable and somethings listed are doable but not recommended.
