If your mysteriously loosing disk space, read this...
My computer has been running slugishly lately and I haven't been able to find the source of the problem - untill now. I woke up and I realized that I had some how "lost" 10 gigs since sunday (6 days). The think is that this is not abnormal, but my computer has only been hooked up to the internet for more than 24 hours. On DSL (120kbps if ur lucky) This is impossible... Plus I checked my Bandwidth monitor (I download about 2 gigs/day) but I had only downloaded about 1.4 gigs since Sunday (Didnt have internet connection till friday )
Still thinking this was my fault, I searched my computer for large files 500mb+ (cd images) - I had copied a few cd's that week. Then I find the file called mybot.log ("c:\windows\system32\mybot.log")
The first thing I think is F***ing m$, what have they been screwing with now...
but then I realize that the file is getting bigger - 10 kbps and currently it is 10,158,502 KB's!!!
the program that is using this file is "msnccc.exe" Path: "c:\WINDOWS\system32\patch\"
Anyway I think you should check for it and distroy it ASAP!
