Thread: How to transfer data through serial port?

    Dear all,

    I would like to write an application, by using VB, through which 2 machines can transfer data by means of serial ports. However, I don't know which function in VB I should use? Would you mind to tell me about that?

    not sure 100% how to do this but i've seen similar questions posted here alot, i think people use the mscomm (or mscomms) control?

    Best thing to do is search through these forums (using the search facility) and search for "comms" or "serial". That should give you heaps of hits...
