Visual Studio Newbi - Images!!!
Hi
I am a complete novice to VB & VB.Net
I am working on a project for a new company (Mine) whereby I will scan a paper form, Save the form in a directory and reference the scanned image location in an MS Access Table.
I want to be able to use VB.Net as a front end to the table and have the user input a reference number (which is linked the to file location in Access, have the image appear on the screen and then have a button on the form to print the image on a report.
I konw this is possible in MS Access coz I am already doing it, but I need to use VB.Net as the front end so that I can supply clients with a copy of their image database on CD as a stand alone exe file with no need to have access installed on their pcs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, sample codes would help too.
Regards

You Need a few things:
MDAC to distribute a program that uses a MS Access DB.
You also need to learn how to use DB's in VB.NET
