Anybody know anything about Canadian land laws?
Specifically, US citizens owning land in Ontario.

I'm trying to buy some land in Upper Ontario (its a long
involved story revolving around the fact that my wife has a
thing for ice), and I'm getting conflicting information
from Lawyers and RealEstate people on the taxes.
I just thought maybe some had a brother, cousin, mother,
significant other, worst enemy or whatever that might have
dealt with foreign land ownership.

Canada...land of snow and losers
The only country in the world neither to win a gold at their own olympics......just had to share that, read it on an anti-Canadian site....and the awful things they had to say about Michael J Fox as well.
Has Canada apologised for Bryan Adams yet ?

Fair point. Anybody know how to make kebabs?
Ahh yes, the bong. I've heard tales of Australia... you have pretty liberal laws about that sort of thing there dontcha? An old friend of mine who err *Cough* introduced me to such things spent 3 years living in Australia.
Anyway, if you are bringing it then we'll definitely need steaks

Naw the laws here are pretty draconian
My wife's best friend got busted in New England...approx three hours north of here....for having a joint on her and had to go to court.....hehehehehehehehehe....her dads a silk. (Queens Council....hmmmm.....a lawyer on steriods).
So he got her off with a warning.
But you generally get a fine, weekend work, or whatever.
