    Unhappy Visual Basic.NET Setup

    HELP!!! PLEASE!!!

    I have uninstalled all associated components of VS.NET 2002. When I try to install VS.NET 2003 I get

    Visual Basic.NET Setup (PopUp)
    Setup has detected that a previous version of Microsoft.NET Framework (English) V1.0.2914 is currently installed. Uninstall this application before continuing with Setup. For more information, see readme.htm at the root of Visual Studio.NET CD1 or DVD.

    I can't find it any where...where could it possible be hiding???

    Did you uninstall VS .NET 2002 while VS .NET 2003 setup was giving you this promt?

    ADD: When you uninstalled the old version of VS .NET, did you also uninstall the framework manually from the control panel?

    Did you ever use the Visual Studio 2002 Beta? The Beta sometimes doesn't uninstall right. I had to reinstall my OS to get rid of it.

    I also did an OS change (2k->xp) since I had soooo much crap welded into VS.NET 2002 that I couldn't get it to uninstall either.

    I have XP. I started with an Educational Version (Limited Time - 60 days) edition of 02. I now have a full version of 03. I did not try to install it until I had uninstalled all components... As I am a student, I don't have the time to mess around with this - I have tons of HOMEWORK to do!!!
