[EDIT]Make the DVD possible to be read in the DVD player...
I have the Matix DVD and I am trying to rip it just to see if it works. I have an app called SmartRipper.
But when I am loading the app it says that I don't have ASPI adapter....what is that?

I think an ASPI driver allows you to read directly from sectors on a CD or DVD.

If you don't have the ASPI driver, then basically you can't use your drive.... at all.
But I'm sure you have, so the program probably needs the driver itself.
Go into nero or any other program and find "WNASPI32.DLL" and copy and paste that into your programs folder.
Or you can probably copy and paste it into the system32 folder and dll cache within that folder and register the DLL so you won't have to do it again.

I copied the files and upgraded the firmware with some ASPI thingies...not registered the DLLs but it is some how workign now...it is going 120 times faster now and it is using ASPI. And no errors, so no matter what I did. I must have done something right.
Thanks all.
Now over to some other questions about ripping,
The Matrix DVD is devided into
Title 1
Title 2
Title 3
each of them holds some vob files. Why is it like that and not one big file? Do I need to rip all of them? The Title2 has most files or chains as my app is calling it. Actually 18 of them and is biggest of the titles. I have startet to rip them. Takes about 30Min.
What am I supposed to do with all the files when I am done with them. Is it possible for my DVD player to read them afterwards or do I have to make them DivX and let my computer read them?

OK.I found out that Title 2 is the actual movie. All the scenes from Title 1 is just extra scenes. On how they made the movie. So I have made the whole Title 2 track into one VOB file. It's 5,1Gb. That is too big to hold on a single DVD. So here is my new question.
Is it possible to compress it in any way and still make it possible for a non pc DVD player to play. With out cutting it in two?
And what files and in what directories do the files need to be allocated on the DVD to make it possible to be run on a DVD player?
