Duplication Problems--Urgent!!

hello,

I recently made a clean install of win2000 on my computer which was prev. loaded with win98.
I have a 20 gb hard disk partitioned with C & d drive;partitioned 10 Gb each.
now , i found that its loaded like a dual Os system.
i mean i have choice to run win98 or win2000.
ofcourse i choose win2000.
but problem is that it had made "program files" folder in both
C and D drive. I guess thass because of dual boot system.

But i did not wanted a dual boot system in anywes....!!
now can u tell me ...where was i wrong in installing the win2k ?
I had made a clean install!!
