Thread: replacing windows shell with a vb app

    Question

    Im attempting to write an application to replace explorer.exe......this will cut about 30 seconds off of boot time. I need to run applications...how do i do that? from reading the forums it seems that the shell() command can be used to do this. how? also, has anyone written a vb to c++ converter? thanks!

    So,

    do u want to run something else when the user invokes Explorer

    or do u want to shell an app from within VB?
