Sorry, but i needed to let you people know this. If you forgot your password for this forum, find it in the cookie! The correct cookie can be found by using the 'Find > Files or Folders...' in the start menu.

click browse and browse to your cookie folder (C:\Windows\cookie\), and then click on advanced, and in 'Containing text:' put your username (r0ach, in my case). The cookie will be sumptin@cgi-bin[ * ].txt (where * is a number) it's right there under: "Password=yourpassword"!

Maybe i'll quickly write a "Password extractor" and if you're interested in it (or the source), post here!!

compuGEEK, I also use NT. However, i used a '98 "Description" for ease of understanding

The cookies folder in NT is C:\Winnt\Profiles\r0ach\Cookies\

Another thing i noticed is, that after you post a reply or new topic, you get a "redirect" screen for a few seconds. If you right-click on it (Internet-Explorer) and click "View Source", Your password is in there in plain text!!!

    Hehehe,

I just mentioned it, since i noticed it. BTW, in my oppinion, a PC still has a long way to go before it can even be close to the human brain!

Well, then you can click on the
    Forgot your password?

Or you can do what i did, and save the redirect page's source (the page that comes just after you posted a reply). The password is written in there too. Or you can write it down on a piece of paper.

You can also just have the computer remember your password, and then not worry about it.

Beware, though, 'cos I forgot my Hotmail password, and now i prolly have 600 messages that i can't retrieve, 'cos i forgot the answer to my secret question too!!!

I said my PC is smarter than I not than you...
I have seen in many movies the guy at the keyboard types "help me" when the machine asks for a password, and presto! The password pops up.
Or sometimes he/she types very very fast lots and lots of random keyboard combos untill the system unlocks.
