mouse hover thing
i remember at a forum there was this thing that when you put your mouse over the thread link it would show you the first 50 or 75 words of the post so you dont click on it then find out its not what you want or you dont know the answer... i thought that it would be helpful to have it on here if it is possible.
thanks

While not a bad idea, that would require modifying the underlying forum code and we like to keep that to a minimum.

They have that in vBulletin 3 (Beta), but the whole damn thing is just too buggy.

It costs money to do things like that. This website is run by a corporation. They pay their IT people to do stuff. And I'm sure they'd rather be paying them to do important things.

That, and the fact that any changes made to the software will have to be made again when they update. And that brings us back to my previous post: $$.

Here is your answer. Version 3.0. We have been testing version 3.0 for a while now (betas). Once the released product is stable we plan to upgrade to it.

Do test it thoroughly. I'm at this other forum where they've already upgraded to vBulletin 3 beta, and now there are problems galore. Avatars can't be changed, ranks can't be changed, and other things that I can't remember aren't working.
