Newbie - What database to use

I'm familiar with VB and HTML, and now I'm teaching myself ASP with a little project requiring a database. Any advise on what type of database to use?

    Let me ******** a bit...

I want to use ASP pages to access and modify a database. Can this be done with Access or do I need to use like... sQL server or Oracle or something?

Start with an .mdb access database. It's the easiest to get started with.
